I had promised to discussed the Asheville ghost video during the Grand Dark Conspiracy August show. I witnessed the video through numerous sources and have been more or less stumped to a quick logical explanation.
The sighting itself took place by a motion sensor camera mounted in the entrace area of the school. The entry area itself is a big rotunda with several areas of windows surrounding the doors. This is where I figured that possibly someone was outside one of the windows and cast a shadow to which the camera photographed.
One shadow seems to have a shadow on the floor. A shadow of a shadow, hmm. Honestly, if you're talking about ghosts they do not have mass, meaning we are not seeing a solid object. Shadow ghosts have appeared on photographs, but they are essentially shadows themselves and do not cast another shadow.
My biggest guess would be something was moving on the dome that hung over the camera mounting. The shadow was only seen when the object moved to a point where light from the windows activated the camera. The shadow seen on the floor may have been part of that object.
If they continue to have sightings that are exactly the same we could have a haunting. If we see a similar occurrence happening in the rotunda area we might get a better feeling for what is happening. If it was a one shot deal, then we'll be left wondering.
