As you can tell this is and has been an extremely active location, this particular graveyard in Lucas. It sets on top of a hill at the end on a, pardon the expression, dead end street surround by trees and a large field at the back of it. It is pretty isolated.
This experience was back in high school again for me. I few high school buddies and I thought this would be a good night to get wasted and go to a charity basketball game. Problem was we couldn't get away drinking at our parents home and there was no way we could smuggle in our fifths of cheap vodka. We racked our brain for places to go drink that weren't too public and weren't far from where we wanted to go.
My good friend suggest we go park in the turn around at this graveyard, it was about halfway from his house and the school, and it sure was secluded. As long as we didn't hoot and holler to much we would be safe. So we took that Old Delta 88 and parked right there in that turnaround. Got out of the car and all sat on the hood looking into the graveyard. It was a cool, crisp, clear fall night, moon waning high in the night sky, star out in abundance. Beautiful really. My one friend got out the booze a fifth of cheap vodka for everyone, It was chilled and that was all we had to get drunk. We cracked open the rotgut and each took swigs, tasted like glue. But what more could a minor ask for. We started talking about the drive through we did earlier that summer. Talking about how creepy, it was. I dared one of my friends to go into the cemetary. No one had the bravery, I figured that one we started to get a buzz, someone would get fool hardy enough to traipse into the burial ground. But then my friend dared me to go. I thought 'what the hell', I started toward the closed gate, vodka bottle in hand. I got the entrance, staring into the darkness, at the tall pines standing at the bottom of the old section of the cemetary, and took another slug from the bottle hoping to gain some of that famous liquid courage. "Go you p***y, Go on in. F**k those ghost they aren't s**t" my friend yelled towards me. I grabbed the cold damp gate and swung it open. "I'm coming in! B**t**ds, Show me what you got!" I tried bravado, but I had that feeling in my gut and tightness in my chest. Didn't want to act like a scared shitless punk in front of my friends. "You aren't s**t, motherf*****s" I heard my friend laughing "That's right you motherf***ing ghosts ain't s**t" they echoed. My one friend had come up behind me. I was just staring in the pitch between the two pines. "Let's do this! Let's go in" I started into the graveyard, staring, holding my breath, trying to ignore my gut. As my friend and I stepped in the graveyard, we saw three shadow people start to come toward us slowing from between the pines, matching us stride for stride. "Holy S**t! Let's get the f**k out of here!" We ran and didn't walk. We tore out of there. I didn't go back to that place for years. We drove around the rest of the night and got drunk, and that night was all kinds of messed up. One of the most tumultuous and humiliating nights of my young life, but there is nothing paranormal about a person acting a fool, so I will spare you that story.
