| On a lark, one evening while out with another couple, my wife and I were persuaded to go to a local "Psychic". They were offering $10 Palm readings and Psychic consultation, we figured that what the heck, it could be fun. The other couple told they were good and gave a testimony about how accurate they had been. So the four of us go into this house and there are five "psychic" women, four younger and one older, there. So they split the four of us up to give us our individual readings. So they are reading my palm, not really telling me anything special or even accurate and asking me more questions than giving me answers. My wife is getting a reading on the couch with some girl. I am wearing my wedding band and my wife is not wearing her ring because her setting had broken off. The old lady is speaking to the girls giving my wife and I reading off and on, as if giving her instructions. I looked at her suspiciously. She then asked me my nationality. I responded Romanian. Her eyes got big and She then asked if I spoke any. I got a big grin and gave her a knowing look. "Yes, I do, A little." I don't speak a lick of Romanian but she was Psychic so I figured she would know I was lying. That ended all four readings. I found out that after the lady spoke to the woman with my wife, she told my wife that I wasn't the man she would marry and that I was no good for her. I was wearing a wedding ring and she wasn't and that lady had been communicating that to I found out later her daughters. So just be careful, I wasn't mad because I was there for the laughs, but real psychics should be relatively rare and most who set up shop are just charlatans. |
