Alex was born and grew up in one of the oldest and most historic cities in the country (Quincy, MA).
Alex first had his own encounter with the unknown at the young age of 12. He has been interested and trying to learn more about and search for Cryptids ever since.
Alex moved to Arizona in 2004 where he continued his interest in paranormal activities and soon founded the Arizona Cryptozoological Research Organization. Originally a small group of researchers based primarily in Arizona, the AZCRO now has members from not only the United States, but beyond as well. Alex has been called Arizona’s leading cryptozoologist (Shanna Hogan, Times Publications). Alex and the AZCRO Team have searched throughout the Southwest for giant bats, giant birds, wild cats and other more mysterious creatures such as Bigfoot, Chupacabra and the Onza.
Recently Alex has been on the trail of giant mountain lions in Northwest Arizona, along with jaguars in the Southwest and central mountains of Arizona. The State of Arizona recently confirmed what Alex has been saying for 6 years ~ the jaguar (the largest cat in this hemisphere) is now living as it did 100 years ago in Arizona (See “Macho B”). Alex is collecting evidence that may prove that jaguars are settling much further north than what the Arizona government admits to.
After his possible encounter in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in 1973 Alex spent many years researching and educating himself on the different types of Cryptids throughout US and the world. Alex has searched on both sides of the country and in Mexico for Bigfoot (known as “the Mogollon Monster” in Arizona. Alex has many contacts throughout the United States, including most of the major players in the world of Cryptozoology.
Recently Alex has been involved in expeditions with other groups such as Searching For Bigfoot Inc., MogollonMonster.com in Arizona, and The Crypto Four Corners, team led by J.C Johnson out of New Mexico. During these expeditions, Alex experienced his 2 Class A, (BFRO Classification system) Bigfoot encounters. He and his team have had numerous Class B and C incidents both as a group and on their own.
Alex is continuing his search for the unexplained in Arizona in 2010 and has many projects in the works. Alex is a frequent guest and periodically the host of The Bigfoot live Radio Show, heard every Wednesday night 7-8pm PST.

Stephen Mehler’s fascination with ancient Egypt , which began at the age of eight, has guided his education and spiritual work all his life. Mehler holds three degrees in the sciences and is a trained field archaeologist and prehistorian. Mehler also served as a Staff research scientist for the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, in San Jose , California from 1978-1980.Since 1992, Mehler has worked with and been a student of, Egyptian-born Egyptologist and indigenous wisdom keeper, Abd’El Hakim Awyan, popularly known as Hakim. Consultancy Research:
Nick Redfern has undertaken freelance research in a consultant capacity to the world of entertainment since 2001. He has worked as a consultant to various TV production companies, including (a) Mentorn TV of Britain; (b) Red Star Films of Canada; and (c) the United States’ Sci-Fi Channel.
Nick worked for 12 months as the co-editor of the newsstand magazine Phenomena. He has had widespread experience of editing articles for length, clarity, grammar and punctuation to the high levels required for, and expected by, newsstand publications. He has also ghostwritten and edited a number of published books for authors.
He has also worked full-time as a consultant to several authors, conducting research on their behalf.
TV/Lecture/Media Appearances:
Nick has appeared on more than 60 TV shows to promote his books and his research. In the late summer of 2004 he traveled to Puerto Rico for two weeks with a film team from the Sci-Fi Channel’s series, Proof Positive, to make a documentary about the Chupacabras. He appeared on the MSNBC show Countdown with Keith Olbermann on February 9, 2005. He also traveled to Puerto Rico in September 2005 to make a show about the Chupacabras for Canada’s Space Channel. Robert (Bob) Schmalzbach currently serves on the Board of Directors for Searching for Bigfoot Inc., in the position of Vice President / Secretary. Robert (Bob) Schmalzbach is a 56 year old business man and entrepreneur now living in Northern California. Bob recently retired from a twenty plus year career in the High Tech field where he worked as an Equipment Engineering Manager for companies as diverse as; AT&T Technology Division, Honeywell, and Integrated Device Technology. He has a “hands on”, scientific approach to problem solving and a strong creative side. His passion has been for developing and running small businesses. Examples of these businesses are; Bobs Main Street Market, Independent Grocer’s Services, Indian Creek Cafe, and JavaBobs Bigfoot Deli. Bob was a member of the Technical Advisory Board for De Anza College, the founder and first President of the Happy Camp Fire Safe Council, he is currently the President of the Happy Camp Chamber of Commerce, and he served as a founding member of the Siskiyou County Fire Safe Council. Bob, along with his wife Vickie, worked as Co-Chairman of an ad hoc committee to write the bill that got Public Law 94-142, Education of All Handicapped Children Act passed into law in 1975, and to this day remains very active in working with “special people” through out his community. John Sabol is a cultural anthropologist, field archaeologist, actor, and "ghost excavator". He has worked among the Zapotec and Mixtec Indians of the central highlands of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, and the Nahuatl-speaking groups of the Central Plateau. He has also worked as an anthropologist in the Yucatan Peninsula, and the state of Chiapas in Mexico.
He has participated in archaeological excavations in Winchester, England, and in Cholula, Mexico. He has also done archaeological survey work in South Dakota, Tennessee, and the Central Plateau of Mexico, including the massive archaeological site of Teotihuacan. His M.A. thesis was a study of the trading patterns and social-economic organization of the Dallas Culture, a 15th c. Indian culture of Eastern Tennessee.
He has appeared in more than 30 films, TV shows, and commercials as an actor. Some of the films that he has appeared in include Dune, Conan the Destroyer,Falcon and the Snowman, Rambo 2, License to Kill, Miracles, Old Gringo, and Remo Williams. He has also appeared in a number of Mexican films, a Mexican "Soap", and a TV series in Spain. He has also filmed a commercial for Port Royal Beer in Hondurus. He worked on post-production special effects for Dune, and dubbing and looping for Conan the Destroyer.
He is a paranormal investigator, and has conducted ghost excavations in England, Germany, Mexico, and throughout the United States at haunted locations in Philadelphia, Gettysburg, the anthracite coal region in Northeast Pennsylvania, and in the cities of San Antonio, Texas, New Orleans, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has appeared in two episodes of the A&E TV series, Paranormal State ("Family Ties"; "Ghosts of Gettysburg"). He has lectured at various paranormal conferences, local historical societies, and at various tourist sites.
He was a professor at various colleges in Mexico City, and in the Graduate Department at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. For 11 years, he taught courses in the Anthropology and Sociology of Tourism, Regional Tourist Development, and English as a Second Language. He was Department Chair for three years. He was awarded a grant by the Mexican Government to investigate regional tourist development in Oaxaca, Mexico.
He currently lives in Mahanoy City, in the heart of the anthracite coal region in Pennsylvania. He lives with his dog (Lacy) and his Cat (Tazia). His daughter, Melissa, is studying visual effects and motion graphics at the Art Institute of Philadelphia
